Born in Casole d'Elsa (Siena), she studied at the Accademia Chigiana and in Fiesole.

From her debut, her extraordinary vocal abilities have brought her to the forefront of the most important theatres of the world. She sang La Traviata under the baton of Riccardo Muti at Teatro alla Scala, where she later returned for L’elisir D’amore and Lucia Di Lammermoor.

In Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, she sang in Die Entführung Aus Dem Serail and in Le Nozze Di Figaro, both conducted by Zubin Mehta. She debuted at the Festival Rossini of Pesaro in 2001 in Le Nozze Di Teti E Peleo, she later returned there to sing in Il Turco In Italia and in Tancredi.

She sang in Paris, at Opéra Bastille in Falstaff, Theatre Chatelet in Mitridate, Re Di Ponto and at Théatre des Champs-Elysées in Le Nozze Di Figaro and L’incoronazione Di Poppea.

Among her numerous successes in 2008, we would like to point out Don Giovanni at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, her return to Opéra de Paris in I Capuleti E I Montecchi and her performance in Giulio Cesare in Bilbao.

In 2009, she was Gilda in Rigoletto at Teatro Real of Madrid, she sang La Traviata in Orange and at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Tancredi in Turin, Il Viaggio in Reims and I Domeneo at Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

In 2010 she was in Munich with La Traviata, in Barcelona with La Fille Du Régiment, in Marseille with Hamlet.

Recently she sang in Maria Stuarda in Athens and Avignon, L'Elisir D'amore in Oviedo, Der Rosenkavalier in San Diego Opera, La Bohème in Rome, Rigoletto at the Orange Opera Festival, Roméo et Juliette in Bilbao and Marseille and finally La Traviata in Tokyo, Berlin, Venise, Avignon, Geneve, Turin, Madrid and Barcelona, at Covent Garden in London with La Fille Du Régiment and Robert Le Diable, with Les Pêcheurs De Perles in Las Palmas, Naples and Madrid, Un Ballo In Maschera at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Lucia Di Lammermoor in Paris, La Straniera in Marseille, Les Contes D'Hoffmann in Lyon, La Sonnambula in Barcelona and La Fille Du Régiment in London, Tancredi in Paris TCE, Dinorah in Berlin, Luisa Miller in Liège, I Domeneo in Lille, Don Giovanni in Montecarlo, Capuleti E Montecchi in Barcelona.
