Michael Kaplan

Michael Kaplan is a visiting professor/lecturer and has taught at universities around the world. He holds graduate degrees from Harvard and Thunderbird. Michael did his Harvard thesis on Scandinavia and speaks Swedish (Norwegian) and German. He is also a global traveler and has lived in 89 countries (and visited 141), and recently authored The Happy Wanderer – A Dyslexic’s Global Adventure (2024), a nonfiction travel adventure book. He has also taught on two Semester At Sea programs and presented enrichment destination talks aboard 18 voyages on Northern European, the British Isles, Baltic, Scandinavian, Caribbean, and South Pacific sailings.
