Manuel Vioque Judde

In recent years, Manuel Vioque-Judde has established himself as one of the most captivating violists on the French and international music scene. A prizewinner from an early age at the Primrose Competition in Los Angeles and the Tertis Competition on the Isle of Man, he performs as a soloist with prestigious orchestras throughout the world in France, Belgium, Venezuela, the Czech Republic, Germany, the United States, Sweden and Japan.


A much sought-after chamber musician, he performs alongside such eminent artists as Augustin Dumay, Christian Tetzlaff, Jonathan Fournel, Alexandre Kantorow, Gidon Kremer and the Wanderer Trio. He has performed on renowned stages such as the Bozar in Brussels, the Philharmonie in Paris and the Victoria Hall in Geneva, and has taken part in prestigious events such as the Folles Journées in Nantes and Tokyo, the Verbier Festival and Tanglewood Music.

A Fondation Banque Populaire artist and named Révélation Classique Adami in 2017, Manuel has directed the Just Classik Festival in Troyes since 2018.
In 2019, he founded the Arnold Trio with Shuichi Okada and Bumjun Kim. He plays on two violas by German luthier Stephan von Baehr.
