After studying in London, Laurent Naouri was soon engaged on a number of national and then international stages.
His particularly diverse repertoire includes some forty roles, from early baroque to contemporary operas.
A number of roles have marked his career: the Four Evil Roles (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) in Paris, Madrid, Orange, Milan, Barcelona, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Golaud (Pelléas et Mélisande) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées conducted by Bernard Haitink, Glasgow, Salzburg, Berlin with Simon Rattle, Madrid, Barcelona, Los Angeles, the title role in Falstaff in Lyon, Santa Fe and Glyndebourne, and Germont (La Traviata) in Santa Fe, Tokyo, Dallas and Paris.
More recently, he has also performed the roles of Pandolfe (Cinderella) and Capulet (Romeo and Juliet) at the Metropolitan Opera and the Paris Opera, as well as Don Alfonso (Cosi fan Tutte) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Scarpia (Tosca) and Tomski (La Dame de Pique) at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, and Don Pasquale at the Paris Opera.
He also performs in recital with Maciej Pikulski and occasionally with Natalie Dessay.
