Jean Marc Luisada studied piano at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London, before attending the National Conservatory of Music of Paris. There, he won in 1977 the first Piano Prize in the class of Dominique Merlet, and the next year, the first Prize of chamber music in Geneviève Joy-Dutilleux's class.

He is a prize winner of the Dino Ciani Competition (1983) and the famous Chopin Competition in Warsaw (1985). In the last thirty years, Jean-Marc Luisada has been pursuing an exceptional concert career, playing in prestigious venues such as the Champs Elysees Theater in Paris, the Alice Tully Hall in New York. He is often invited in renowned French festivals such as La Roque d'Anthéron, but also all across Europe and the United States. He regularly participates in numerous tours in Asia, Europe and North America.

When playing chamber music, he surrounds himself with Gary Hoffman, Pierre Amoyal, Philippe Bernold, Yuzuko Horigome, Patrick Messina, Talich Quartet, Modigliani Quartet, the Fine Arts Quartet and many others.

He recorded several discs with Deutsche Grammophon and Sony (RCA); among them, Chopin’s Waltzes and Mazurkas, as well as the composer’s concerto in E minor of in its original version, featuring the Talich Quartet

Jean-Marc Luisada is considered as one of the greatest performers of Frédéric Chopin’s music in the world.
