Formed over 10 million years ago by advancing glaciers, the Saguenay Fjord cuts through dramatic cliffs and ancient boreal forest. Today, this geological wonder is best explored on foot. Travel by coach to Saguenay Fjord National Park and set out along the Point de Vue du Soupir trail—widely regarded as one of the most scenic routes in the park. Your hike concludes at the Notre-Dame-du-Saguenay statue, a serene lookout that has watched over the valley since 1881. Before returning to the ship, stop at the park’s Interpretation Center to explore interactive exhibits and browse the souvenir shop.
· This is a moderate to active excursion involving approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles) of hiking and over 500 steps. Trail surfaces include wooden stairs and uneven terrain. Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate layers are strongly recommended.

Dive into Denmark’s Viking history by visiting a recreated farm, a circular fortress and a burial ground.
A twin town that extends over both sides of the Limfjorden strait, Aaalborg, called Alabu in the past, was founded by the Vikings at the end of the 9th century and prospered thanks to fishing and the trade coming through the Limfjorden.
You will board a coach and cross the countryside to reach the Viking farm. It is the recreation of a real farm located near Jelling, the native town of Harald Bluetooth, one of the most powerful Viking kings and a direct ancestor of the current Queen of Denmark. During the summer season, the farm is full of volunteers wearing Viking clothing and recreating their customs.
You will then visit one of Denmark’s oldest ring fortresses, built around 980. These Viking-era forts have now almost all disappeared but, in Fyrkat, you can still see the circle that surrounded the 16 long houses. The site, as well as four other Danish fortresses, are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Continue your journey by crossing the bridge spanning the Limfjorden. You will soon arrive at the former Viking site of Lindholm Hoje, one of the oldest and most important in Denmark. The burial site has 700 stone tombs and an encampment dating back to the end of the Iron Age and the Viking era. This is a 1,000-year-old necropolis, the likes of which are found nowhere else in Denmark. The museum offers a marvellous glimpse into everyday life in a village at the time of the Vikings. You will also be able to get a real Viking souvenir or a Viking artefact.

It is said that Copenhagen is best explored from the waterways. On this tour you will have the chance to explore the city and some of its many small canals from a completely new angle from your own kayak.
You will board a minibus for a short transfer from the pier to the city center. Your guide will walk you from the bus stop to the nice meeting point in central Copenhagen, Kayak republic. Here, you will meet your kayak instructor. Once you’ve undergone a safety briefing and been fitted with a lifejacket, you’ll be good to go.
Enjoy paddling alongside ships and small boats, while navigating through the historical parts of Copenhagen, including the idyllic district of Christianshavn. Admire the golden tower of the Church of Our Savior and paddle under some of the many bridges in Copenhagen that were recently built to connect the capital and make it more accessible.
Make your way around the Island of Power and the Christiansborg Palace, the home of the Danish government before paddling back to your starting point.
Return your kayak and equipment before rejoining your tour guide.
Before returning to the ship, you will take time to refresh yourself at the local bar, after this pleasant and playful adventure.
· There is very little walking. Guests must be physically fit as this is an active tour, and know how to emerge themselves in water as swim. Equipment is provided including kayak, lifewest, paddle and of course an English-speaking instructor.

Bilbao is a constantly evolving metropolis where the traditions of the past live side by side with futuristic buildings acknowledged throughout the world as icons of modernity. This excursion allows you to discover both of these sides of the city—the new and the old.
As you drive from the port to the center of the city, pass by some of the newest structures in Bilbao, many of them built along the shores of the Nervion River. The best known of these, of course, is Frank Gehry’s striking Guggenheim Museum, a work that set the standard for the "new Bilbao." Other modern structures encountered on the drive include the Palacio Euskalduna, a Conference Center and Concert Hall built between 1994 and 1999, and Zubiarte, a shopping mall and entertainment complex opened in 2004 and expanded in 2015.
Having seen the riverfront New Bilbao, you reach Bilbao's Old Quarter (Casco Viejo), an area of narrow streets lined with Renaissance, Baroque and Modernist buildings, where a guided tour introduces you to the old. As you walk, your guide will point out key landmarks and monuments, including Santiago Cathedral, the oldest structure in the quarter, the Gothic Church of San Anton, and the Plaza Nueva, the center of the social life of the area. Enjoy some time at leisure to stroll around on your own, perhaps sampling some of the Basque region's twist on Spanish tapas, before returning to the ship.
· This is a relatively easy excursion, with a total of approximately 1 mile of walking over mostly flat, sometimes cobblestone surfaces. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing.

In addition to its history, one of Cartagena's great attractions is its gastronomy. Alongside this guided tour of the old town and its famous Roman theater, you will enjoy a typically Spanish activity, and indulge in a tapas tasting.
Meet your guide at the pier and begin your guided walking tour of Cartagena.
You will pass by emblematic sites of the historic centre of Cartagena, such as the Palace Hall, the Punic Wall (built in the 3rd century BC) and its modernist buildings, among others (outside visits). With the surrounded architecture, you will be immersed in the glorious past of the city, at different periods.
During your walking tour, you will stop off at different local bars. There, you will taste a "tapa" and a drink (soft or an alcoholic beverage).
Finally, your guide will take you for a visit of the Roman Theater, before walking back, with your guide, to the pier.

Marbella acquired its reputation as the place to be and be seen on the Costa del Sol in the late 1950s and 1960s when it was "discovered" by Europe’s rich and famous. It remains a center of tourism and also serves as a gateway to the riches of the entire region.
Your excursion begins with a walking tour of the maze of narrow streets of whitewashed houses with decorated balconies that is Old Town. Centered on the Patio de los Naranjos (Courtyard of Orange Trees), this is the section of town where you will find the fascinating shops and boutiques that have made Marbella famous. Here you will also find the town hall, the old governor's house, and the Chapel of Santiago. Wander through the garden of brightly colored flowers and orange trees surrounding a bust of King Juan Carlos 1, and stroll down the Avenida del Mar, adorned with fountains, trellises, and a collection of sculptures by Salvador Dalí.
A short drive inland brings you to the charming village of Mijas, built on a mountainside 1300 feet above sea level with panoramic views over the Costa del Sol. Follow your guide through narrow cobblestoned streets of tiny-whitewashed houses decorated with grill work and covered with bougainvillea and jasmine. Make your way to the upper terraces for the best views available, before sitting down to a typical Andalusian meal of meats, cheeses, gazpacho, and paella while being entertained with a performance of flamenco by local dancers and musicians.
After lunch, enjoy some time at leisure for independent exploration and browsing in the shops before returning to your ship.

The Faroe Islands archipelago is a territory with unique geography, a paradise for those who love big pristine spaces. Explore these incredible landscapes during a demanding hike, discovering basalt columns, alpine lakes and rocky outcrops sculpted by ancient glaciers.
From Tórshavn, gigantic waterfalls and peaceful sheep punctuate the road that runs along the Kaldbak fjord and will take you to the departure point of your hike.
There, 280 metres (920 feet) above sea level, the impressive Streymoy basalt columns mark the beginning of your adventure. Before these geological rarities, take the path that leads to the summit where it will open up onto an incredible panorama.
Make the most of a pause near mountain lakes to admire the rocky formations polished by the ice, the magnificent Vágar Island revealing itself on the horizon, before walking back down towards your coach and the road back to Tórshavn.

A geological marvel testifying to the natural forces that have shaped the Faroese landscape over the millennia, the valley of Hvannhagi will reveal itself during this strenuous but breathtaking hike.
Located on the eastern coast of Suðuroy, the charming village of Tvøroyri marks the beginning of your hike. Leaving behind the small colourful houses, you will join a narrow path, climbing steeply along the hills. Soon, the mountain will open up and you will reach “the door”, a point that reaches an altitude of 300 metres (almost 1,000 feet), offering an incredible panorama over the neighbouring cliffs and the islands of Lítla Dímun, Stóra Dímun and Skúvoy.
After this first step, it will be time to reach the valley of Hvannhagi, taking the Shepherd’s Steps, constructed by Nepalese artisans in summer 2023. After a fairly steep descent, you will finally reach this preserved site, peopled with sheep and birds. Surrounded by sculptural mountains and facing a peaceful lake, this raw nature forged by millennia of tectonic and volcanic activity is a veritable paradise for those who love large open spaces and geology, as well as for photographs.
