PONANT brings you a new itinerary to discover the cultures and traditions of Spain, Cape Verde and Senegal.

You will embark on your 10-day cruise aboard our new ship Le Champlain in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canaries.

To discover these islands, Le Champlain will first call at Fuerteventura, the ‘Island of Eternal Spring’. In Puerto del Rosario, you will be able to admire the old town and its Canarian-style houses protected by high walls, the narrow streets and the long, sandy beach.

On the neighbouring island, Gran Canaria, Las Palmas will reveal its treasures, including its two vast bays and the Vegueta district, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will find the Santa Ana Cathedral. You will also be able to admire the wonderful colonial architecture from the 15th and 16th centuries.

You will then sail to the Cape Verde archipelago, where the mix of cultures creates a very unique identity. We will take you to the island of Sao Vicente, often called ‘little Brazil’ due to is carnival and its entrancing nightlife. In Mindelo, you will be seduced by the stunning scenery, the kindness of the locals and the bustling atmosphere.

Your journey will end in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, where you will arrive early in the morning.
