Port of call & excursions
HonfleurEmbarkation 21/09/2019 from 15H00 to 16H00 . Departure 21/09/2019 at 17H00 .
A treasure of the Côte Fleurie, Honfleur is located on the edge of la Crique de Rouen in Normandy. You will no doubt admire the historical ships moored in its old port. With its tall, slate-covered houses, the quays provide a great setting for a very nice walk. In the streets behind the harbour, you will see many timber houses. These picturesque places were the cradle of several pre-impressionist painters. You can see their works in the Eugène Boudin museum. Exhibited works represent scenes of medieval streets and the coastline as it used to be, as illustrated by the Butin beach and its lush green hillsides.
22 September 2019 – Saint-MaloArrival 22/09/2019 early morning. Departure 22/09/2019 early afternoon.
The mere mention of Saint-Malo’s name is enough to plunge us back into the richness of its past. The fortifications stand as testimony to the Malouins’ determination to defend their citadel, fought over by France and Britain in turn. When we drop anchor here, immerse yourself in the diversity of its heritage: the time when privateers sailed the oceans in search of trade and victories; the legendary yacht races the port city is still famous for, such as the Route du Rhum; and the final resting place of the French writer François-René de Chateaubriand, who was born here and chose to be buried here anonymously.
23 September 2019 – Belle-Île-en-MerArrival 23/09/2019 mid morning. Departure 23/09/2019 evening.
Lying to the South of Brittany, Belle-Île is very aptly named. The largest of the Ponant islands, it owes its glowing reputation to its exceptional environment and generous natural attributes: pristine moors and dunes, headlands and cliffs cut into granite points, rocky inlets, and sheltered bays with sandy or pebble beaches. Aboard your ship, let the wild coastline of Belle-île-en-Mer surprise you, this little speck of land lying on the ocean, sparkling with colours in the morning light.
24 September 2019 – Île-d'AixArrival 24/09/2019 early morning. Departure 24/09/2019 late afternoon.
A small crescent of land, 3 kilometres long, the Île d’Aix is a fragile area listed as an outstanding natural site. The use of cars here is restricted, thereby enabling nature to reign supreme. Set off to discover the treasures of the island by using the “sentier des douaniers” (Customs officer path). Between marshes, vines, creeks and cliffs, you will quickly become aware of this stretch of land’s exceptional heritage. This enchanting place invites you to visit its village and its museums, the Napoléon Museum or the African Museum. A fine diversity of landscapes of small pastel-coloured houses adorned with multi-coloured shutters and hollyhocks… It’s just like a postcard.
25 September 2019 – At seaArrival 25/09/2019. Departure 25/09/2019.
During your day at sea, make the most of the many services and activities on board. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the spa or stay in shape in the fitness centre. Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing. This day without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the PONANT photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest and entertainment.
26 September 2019 – La CoruñaArrival 26/09/2019 early morning. Departure 26/09/2019 early morning.
La Coruña stands on a peninsula in north-west Spain. As you enter the harbour, you can see the imposing Castillo de San Antón, which houses archaeological collections from Galicia. In the old town, you’ll travel back in time as you meander through the streets from the medieval church of Santiago to the contemporary Domus building, a museum dedicated to human biology and psychology. Brightly coloured tramways connect to the waterfront, on one side, Riazor beach, and on the other, the Hercules tower: this lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, listed for its history dating back to Antiquity.
26 September 2019 – CeeArrival 26/09/2019 early evening. Departure 26/09/2019 evening.
Cee is located at the end of a bay on the north-western Spanish coast. A stone’s throw from the marina, the maritime promenade is a great place to stroll alongside one of the town's beaches or luxuriant gardens. The centre can be reached by a pleasant walk down quaint streets bordered by pines and palms. These streets lead you to the market square with its shops offering a profusion of all kinds of delicious food. You’ll want to dally under the arcades and perhaps be tempted by a slice of bica gallega, a regional cake that’s both moist and crunchy. Try it with a cortado or a machado, two delectable espresso drinks.
27 September 2019 – Leixões - PortoArrival 27/09/2019 early morning. Departure 27/09/2019 early afternoon.
Located at the mouth of the Douro River, the port of Leixões lies less than 10 kilometres from Porto. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the historic centre of Porto is worth a visit for its famous Ribeira district, the metallic silhouette of the Dom-Luis bridge looming over its ancient houses, its richly decorated Baroque churches and its national Soares dos Reis museum. The São Bento station is also interesting for its typically Portuguese decoration, using Azulejos, blue square ceramic tiles decorated with geometric patterns or figurative scenes.
LisbonDisembarkation 28/09/2019 at 07H00 .
Portugal’s capital city located on the banks of the Tagus, only a few kilometres from the Atlantic coast, is a city of exceptionally rich cultural diversity. At the mouth of the river harbour, impose two UNESCO World Heritage monuments, Jeronimos monastery and Belem tower. The Alfama hillside is also worth visiting: known for its fado bars and its Moorish streets, this district is the oldest one of the city and one of the most typical. Not far from there, Chiado’s elegant streets are home to big fashion labels and are an invitation to a bit of of luxury shopping.

TRI YANN… More than 45 years on stage… and it’s still and always a pleasure
A unique musical style combining tradition and modernity, folk melodies and Breton songs, medieval instruments and current trends… this is the trademark of the Celtic music group Tri Yann.
Formed in the early 1970s by the “Three Jean”, Jean-Louis Jossic, Jean Chocun and Jean-Paul Corbineau, over the years Tri Yann have forged themselves a reputation on both the French and the international scene.
They began by singing traditional Breton songs at Breton dances, and very quickly the trio of friends began to share the Breton culture with a wide audience. Thanks to their original repertoire which has been constantly enriched over the years by new influences and new collaborations, Tri Yann has made a place for itself in France’s musical heritage: Olympia, Bataclan, Zénith, Bercy, numerous festivals… so many concerts that bring the public together.
Meeting the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire led to a joint project that gave the group the chance to share the stage with some one hundred classical musicians.
In recognition of a career devoted to entertainment, the 3 founders of the group were named Chevaliers de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres.
After nearly a half century spent performing on stage and over 3 million albums sold, the “Three Jean”, who are now eight, continue to explore new musical territories while injecting into them their own special brand of eccentricity and their boundless energy.
