Exclusive cruise for members of the PONANT Yacht Club – In the presence of Jean Emmanuel Sauvée – CEO and co-founder of PONANT

PONANT invites you on a loyalty cruise around the Mexican peninsula of Yucatán. Aboard Le Champlain, set off on  a brand-new 8-day itinerary to discover the treasures of Mayan civilisation and the many surprises that we have in store for you on this journey.

On this occasion, you will spend an exceptional day out in Campeche, from your port of call in Seybaplaya. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Campeche has conserved its compound wall and fortifications. After lunch in a hacienda outside the city, you’ll have the opportunity to discover its sublime ramparts during an event proposed at the end of the day.

You will then make your way to Dos Bocas, not far from the Mayan site of Palenque. This fabulous city, hidden deep in the dense jungle of Chiapas, will reveal to you its incredibly well preserved temples and palaces and their delicate architecture.

Le Champlain will then set sail for Progreso, famous of its immaculate sand beaches, and the gateway to more wonders. First, Mérida, the capital of the state of Yucatán, offers a pleasant mix of colonial architecture and Mayan heritage. Next, the famous ancient city of Uxmal, whose impressive dimensions reveal the former greatness of the Mayan economic and political capital.

Lastly, don’t miss the chance to discover the Chaak Tun cenote, one of the spectacular sinkholes once regarded by the Maya as passageways to the world of the gods.
