PONANT was created by sailors keen to share their passion for the sea. For more than thirty years, we have taken our guests to the most secret places on the planet, where nature reigns supreme. This choice brings with it responsibilities towards the environment and the indigenous peoples that we meet.

Not only do we take our profession and our commitment to promoting a more sustainable tourism seriously, we also wanted to further our efforts in areas that are close to our heart. That is why in 2018 we created the PONANT Foundation, to preserve the oceans and the polar regions and encourage exchanges between peoples. Our aim is to support projects focusing on research, awareness-raising and conservation.
